Abstract

The low learning outcomes of class IV students in natural resources subjects in the Social Sciences curriculum at SD Negeri 4 Duruka are the main focus of this research. This is thought to be influenced by the learning process, which is still largely under the control of the teacher, as well as the learning model used. The aim of this research is to improve social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Duruka by utilizing TGT type cooperative learning techniques. The research methodology used is called classroom action research, and is divided into two action cycles, each of which has the following steps: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results showed that the average value of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 68.59 with 68.18% completeness, while in cycle II the average value was 77.77 with 86.36% completeness. The research findings support the hypothesis that the use of TGT style cooperative learning strategies can improve social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students when studying natural resources.
