Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif pada Mata Pelajaran Matematika di Madrasah Tsanawiyah

This study aims to determine the application of active learning strategies in teaching mathematics at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. An active learning strategy is a learning approach that involves students actively in the learning process, with the aim of increasing their understanding and skills of mathematics. This study uses a qualitative approach using the case study method, where data is collected through classroom observations, interviews with students, mathematics teachers, and analysis of documents related to the learning strategies applied. The results showed that the implementation of active learning strategies in mathematics at Madrasah Tsanawiyah had a positive impact. Mathematics teachers have implemented various active strategies such as group discussions, math games, and collaborative problem solving. Students are actively involved in the learning process, which increases their motivation, improves understanding of mathematical concepts, and improves problem solving skills. Not only that, this study also identified several obstacles in implementing active learning strategies. Teachers experience problems in managing a more active class. In addition, factors such as lack of resources and facilities in schools also influence the effective implementation of active learning strategies.
